Ginger Scallion Blue Crab
Putting in all the extra cracking for that bit of crab meat is ALWAYS worth it! Especially when it’s smothered in ginger scallion sauce like this 💣

Ingredients
- 8 whole blue crabs
- 1 cup AP flour
- 1/3 cup cornstarch
- 2 tbsp garlic
- 1 knob ginger sliced
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp granulated chicken bouillon
- 1.5 tbsp black pepper
- 1 cup water
- 3 tsp sugar
- 1.5 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 3 stoks chives chopped into 2 in strips or use green onions
Instructions
STEP 1:
- Clean & detach/declaw 8 blue crabsÂ
- Transfer to a bowl & combine 1 cup of AP flour & 1/3 cup of cornstarch
STEP 2:
- Fill fryer with oil and set to 375 degreesÂ
- Deep fry for 5-7 mins until golden & set asideÂ
STEP 3:
- Add 1.5 tbsp of oil to a skillet on med/high heat & add 2 tbsp garlic + sliced ginger & sautĂ© for 2 mins then add the below ingredientsÂ
- 2 tbsp of oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp of chicken bouillon powder
- 1.5 tbsp of black pepper
- 1/2 cup of waterÂ
- 3 tsp of sugar
- 1.5 tbsp of sesame oilÂ
- To make slurry combine 2 tbsp of cornstarch & 1/2 cup of water
- Optional to add more water to match desired consistencyÂ
- Add chopped chives or green onions
- Add blue crabs; toss, coat and sauté
